BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota's Transportation Department and Highway Patrol have reopened Interstate 94 between Dickinson and New Salem, but they're still advising no travel in the north central and northwestern parts of the state due to icy conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories for much of the state. Forecasters say 1-3 inches of snow and up to one-tenth of an inch of accumulating ice will impact travel.

Numerous schools in western and central North Dakota are opening late due to the weather.
